ESTUDIANTES DE GESTIÓN HOTELERA Y TURÍSTICA PRESENTAN RASGOS DE CULTURAS EXTRANJERAS USANDO EL INGLÉS

Estudiantes de tercer semestre del programa Tecnología en Gestión Hotelera y Turismo acaban de realizar presentaciones en inglés sobre historia, cultura, atracciones turísticas, deportes, festividades y otros de países de habla inglesa.

La actividad tuvo como objetivos: mejorar las habilidades comunicativas de los estudiantes, en especial la habilidad oral por medio de presentaciones; adquirir e impartir nuevos conocimientos o ideas de aspectos culturales y generales; y generar confianza en los estudiantes para construir un mejor aprendizaje y adquisición del idioma inglés.

La jornada se desarrolló en el marco de la línea institucional trazada por el Departamento de Lengua, Lingüística y Literatura- DELIN, en cabeza del magíster José Edward Arroyo Angulo.

La actividad que desarrolló con una metodología participativa fue coordinada por la profesora Solangy Quiñones Cortés y en ella participaron los 41 estudiantes que cursan la asignatura Inglés II.

A continuación, se muestra una presentación del trabajo realizado por los estudiantes.

I am very proud of my students because of the huge improvement they have had during this learning process.

They have showed me and they have proved themselves that everything is possible, especially when we refer to English.

Some of them felt like they couldn´t do it, others thought about quitting and not doing the presentation because they were too afraid, but at the end of the day, they showed themselves that they were wrong and they could do it.

Remember that when you are in a learning process, especially an English process, you must dedicate yourself, practice, and be surrounded by a foreigner environment to improve every day.

Don´t be afraid of learning new and different things, because that is always going to be part of our lives.

We never give up learning.
